Rent gear from people you don't know. Safely.
Cameras, lenses, lights, audio, drones — from verified owners in your city. Your deposit stays with Vouch, not with a stranger, and comes back within 48 hours of return.
How a rental works
Four steps. You always know where your money is.
Tell us what you need
Model, dates, pickup or delivery. We confirm who has it and the price within a couple of hours.
Pay the deposit to Vouch
Not to the owner. It confirms your booking and it's refundable.
Handover, together
Serial numbers, accessories and photos checked by both of you. Then you pay the rental fee — to Vouch — and the gear is yours for the period.
Return, same checklist
No claim in 24 hours and your deposit is back within 48. The owner is paid the next business day.
Own gear that sits idle?
Rent it to people you'd never have met — every one of them ID-verified, with a deposit we hold so you never chase it.
- You set the price and the deposit. We take a percentage of the rental, only when it completes.
- You see who's asking before you say yes — verified name, trust level, rental history.
- Photos and serials at handover and return, agreed by both sides, so a damage claim is decided on evidence.
- No commission for your first 60 days while we start up.
Questions people ask
Who holds my deposit?
Vouch does, in a business account, until the gear is returned and the owner has had 24 hours to raise a claim. The owner never holds it.
What if the gear is damaged?
The handover and return checklists — photos, serial numbers, accessories, both parties agreeing — decide it. A claim needs evidence and a repair quote. Deductions come from the deposit only for documented damage, and you're told the reason.
How are renters verified?
Government ID, a selfie, and an address, checked before the first booking. Renters earn access to higher-value gear through clean rentals or a reference from an owner.
Do you deliver?
Owners choose pickup, delivery, or both, and set the delivery fee. Vouch doesn't run logistics.
Is it only cameras?
Creative gear first — cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, drones, gimbals. Event AV, power and music equipment follow once Abuja is running well.
Is Vouch insurance?
No. Vouch holds deposits and documents condition; it is not an insurer. Owners set deposits appropriate to their gear, and we partner with licensed providers where protection beyond that is offered.
